Context & Background
The seaport is part of a large business conglomerate in India. The port had grown substantially from its humble beginning and became the largest commercial cargo port in India. The organization had best in class operating parameters. Yet, to gain further operational efficiencies the organization embarked upon a Business Transformation Project and named it Ignite.

Monitored the Business Transformation Project at the port
Coordinated with intra / inter-department teams
Reviewed and tracked the progress on continual basis

Quantifying the benefits accruing out of the programme
Replicating the results at other sites

The exercise yielded cultural transformation at the port. There were visible and tangible benefits of ideation percolating down to supervisory staff. There were multiple initiatives under the programme, leading to tangible savings of about Rs. 26 cr p.a.
